Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal
Marie Curie Nurses provide free nursing care to cancer patients and those with other terminal illnesses in their own homes.
The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie Cancer Care's biggest fundraising campaign which takes place throughout March each year. Since 2008 each March a group of Lions help the appeal by collecting on the last weekend in March at the Tesco Supermarket on the Oxford Road. In 2012, with your help, we raised more than £1,200 over two days and in March of this year we braved the elements of wind and rain to raise a healthy £480 in just one day. We wish to thank all those who generously give to this appeal.
