Helping at Windsor Charity Horse Ride - 13th and 14th October 2012
Every year our neighbouring Lions Club at Windsor hold a Charity Horse Ride at Great Windsor Park and for a number of years members of Reading Lions Club have been taking our catering caravan along to supply the hungry riders with hot drinks and warming foods. Our burgers and bacon baps are a great success and we make a mean cupper. The money we raise goes to local good causes. Thanks to you we raised more than £1,000 this year and are delighted that all the riders and spectators bought and enjoyed our the food we had on offer.
A very big thank you goes to Sasha from Starbucks coffee shop in Ascot who supplied us with free paper cups. Our supplies ran out and Sasha was able to save the day by supplying cups so that the thirsty riders did not go without. Many, many thanks to Starbucks.
