A brave Lion Abseil's the 'Blade' in Reading
On Sunday 2nd October 2011, Lesley Robinson, a Lion at Reading Club
was brave enough to abseil down the 'Blade' in Reading. She joined a
number of other couragous abseilers to raise money for the Alexander
Devine Children's Hospice Service. Lesley took up the challenge after
hearing about the abseil at a local Lions event and immediately
made enquiries to find out how she could become involved. Lelsey
was joined by Lion Brigid Hendy from neighbouring Burnham Lions Club.
The Blade is no mean feat, rising at more than 128 metres above Reading's skyline.
(Lesley is pictured here on the right).
Well done Lesley, you raised more than £500 for the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service. Watch the video to see Lesley's abseil.
