Reading Lions win Environment Competition 2012                                                                        

Each year Lions Clubs in Southern England hold and environmental competition. Lions Clubs are asked to submit entries detailing their work to improve the environment of their local community. The Lions Club of Reading presented a paper on its work at County Lock and we were delighted to be voted as the winners of the 2012 award. In addition to receiving a beautiful trophy, as pictured, the Club will be presented with a cheque for £100 to be used towards the project. It is hoped that the money will be used for either trees, shrubs or plants at the County Lock Project.
